1. General information
Tandem paragliding flights are conducted by independent pilots holding an official licence issued by the Swiss Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (SHV/FSVL).
The contract is concluded between the passenger and the independent pilot.
Once a reservation has been confirmed in writing, online, by phone or on site, the passenger accepts these terms and conditions without reservation.
2. Passenger obligations
The passenger agrees to participate actively in take-off and landing in accordance with the pilot’s instructions.
The passenger confirms that they do not suffer from any physical or psychological condition that could compromise flight safety. In case of doubt, the pilot must be informed immediately.
The passenger agrees to wear the mandatory equipment: a helmet and closed, stable shoes such as sports shoes or hiking boots.
Long trousers and clothing suitable for the weather, including a warm jacket and gloves if necessary, are strongly recommended.
The pilot may refuse the flight if these conditions are not met.
3. Responsibilities, risks and insurance
The passenger must have accident insurance explicitly covering paragliding. This coverage is the passenger’s responsibility.
The pilot has third-party liability insurance with a maximum coverage of CHF 3,000,000.–.
The passenger acknowledges that paragliding involves inherent risks, including possible hard landings or aborted take-offs that may result in injuries, sudden and unpredictable changes in wind or weather conditions, and the absence of landing gear, meaning that the pilot’s and passenger’s legs serve as the landing support.
By accepting the flight, the passenger declares that they participate with full awareness and assume the risks associated with this sporting activity.
The pilot’s liability is strictly limited to the coverage of their third-party liability insurance, up to CHF 3,000,000.–. Any further contractual or non-contractual liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
4. Reservations, cancellations and postponements
Flights depend exclusively on weather conditions. The decision to fly or cancel rests with the pilot. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, it will be rescheduled or refunded.
A cancellation by the passenger must be communicated at least 48 hours before the appointment. After this deadline, or in case of a no-show, the flight will be charged.
If the passenger is more than 30 minutes late, the flight is lost and will be charged.
5. Minor passengers
Minors may only fly with the written authorisation of a parent or legal guardian.
6. Photos and videos
The passenger may bring a small camera or GoPro-type device only if it is securely fixed and approved by the pilot. Mobile phone use during the flight is prohibited unless explicitly approved by the pilot.
7. Applicable law and jurisdiction
Swiss law applies.
The place of jurisdiction is the domicile or registered office of the independent pilot.
For passengers from the United States and Canada, any jurisdiction outside Switzerland is expressly excluded.
