Booking

Booking and choosing a flight

How does booking work?

First send the form. A pilot then contacts you to answer questions, clarify the option and confirm the price. Payment is made only after this conversation.

Do I need to choose Leukerbad or Vercorin immediately?

No. You can state a preference or choose “no preference”. The final site is confirmed the day before according to weather, safety and expected flight quality.

When are the site, time and flight confirmed?

A pilot contacts you the day before to confirm the take-off site, meeting time and whether the flight can go ahead.

What happens if weather does not allow flying?

The flight can be rescheduled. If you cannot or do not wish to return, the flight payment is refunded in full without fees.

Access

Age, weight and concerns

Who can take a tandem flight?

Tandem flights suit many people. You must be able to follow the pilot’s instructions and take a few steps at take-off. A pilot validates each situation before payment.

What is the maximum passenger weight?

The usual maximum passenger weight is 95 kg. If you weigh more, contact a pilot before booking. The pilot will check equipment, site, conditions and your ability to run a few steps at take-off. With more load, the paraglider flies faster and take-off requires more commitment.

I am afraid of heights. Can I fly?

The sensation experienced at the edge of a cliff is often different in a paraglider because there is no direct contact with the ground. Feeling nervous is normal; tell the pilot so the explanations and process can be adapted.

Preparation

Getting ready for your flight

What should I wear?

Wear closed, non-slip shoes, trousers and a windproof or warm jacket depending on the season. It can be considerably cooler at altitude.

Can I use my phone during the flight?

To avoid dropping it or becoming distracted, we advise against using an unsecured phone in the air. The photo-video option uses a secured camera handled by the pilot.

Are photos and videos included?

No. Photos and videos cost CHF 40 and are transferred to your smartphone after the flight. A CHF 60 360° option can be confirmed depending on equipment and the planned flight.

Safety

Safety and decisions

Is paragliding safe?

Yes, tandem paragliding is a supervised activity when flown by a professional pilot with certified equipment and in suitable conditions. At One2Fly, the pilot checks the equipment, explains take-off and postpones or cancels when conditions are not sufficiently favourable. As with any aerial activity, zero risk does not exist, but safety guides every decision.

Who are the One2Fly pilots?

One2Fly flights are conducted by professional FSVL-certified pilots. More information about Jonas and Romain is available on the pilots page.

Why can the site change?

Wind, clouds and flying conditions may be suitable at one site and less favourable at the other. Being able to propose Vercorin or Leukerbad improves the chance of good conditions without compromising safety.
